Dr. T. Thiraviyam, a renowned orthopaedic and plastic surgeon, is the founder of Thiraviam Orthopaedic Hospital in nagercoil, the southern part of India. His academics in medicine started in government medical college, Madurai and specialization in orthopaedics in JIPMER, Pondicherry. He was awarded Gold medal for the best performance in post graduation in orthopaedics in Government Medical College, Madurai. Then he has successfully completed his M.Ch(plastic surgery) in Stanley Medical College, Chennai
